The Heart of the Valley YMCA provides life-changing services to members of our community including free gym memberships for laid-off workers and qualified military personnel, summer camp scholarships, affordable child care for single mothers and fathers, Go!Kids—a program aimed to promote healthful food choices and fitness practices for children ages seven through twelve, and Fit to Fight for cancer patients, a partnership with the Russell Hill Cancer Foundation.
The Heart of the Valley YMCA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that utilizes funds from gym memberships, annual giving campaigns, and other fundraising events to invest back into our community.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Heart of the Valley YMCA, we would like to thank all who donated funds and time to coordinate Over the Edge 2012 and 2013, a rappelling event at the historic Times Building in downtown Huntsville. Money raised helped the YMCA provide educational and outreach programs to fight chronic disease, assist military families, and strengthen our community.
